Opportunity for Volunteers at the Veteran’s Home

The volunteers’ services that are needed at the 367 facility are quite varied.

Workers in the canteen (gift shop)

Workers in activities—wood working, leather craft, letter writing, reading, visiting, assisting with events,

Decorating for Christmas and other holidays, taking down and putting up.

Helping with shopping trips and field trips.

Pushing patients to and from physical therapy

Helping in the nurses station

Helping in the volunteer’s office

Helping with gardening projects on the patio…vegetables and flowers

Passing out mail

If you work 4 hours, then lunch is free

Lunch can be bought individually for $3.50

or a ticket of 10 cost $10. Ten people could come and eat lunch with the veterans and visit.
